1. Dicey Dungeons

Combine cursed dice with an intriguing storyline, chaotic but beautiful environment and a nice soundtrack and you get Dicey Dungeons. In this game, you take on the role of a dice enchanted by the villainous Lady Luck. To lift the curse you have to make your way through various dungeons and find the exit.

That’s easier said than done, because the levels (dungeons) are randomly generated. As a result, every round is different. The gameplay is not only about dragging through dungeons, because it is also important to collect new playing cards. In addition, you can make your character stronger and you have to solve all kinds of puzzles.

2. Volume

Reading becomes easier with Volume. This app serves you small stories (of a maximum of a few minutes) in the hope that reading becomes everyday life. The mini-magazines, called Stacks, are about anything and everything. You can read about science, history, pop culture, psychology and many more topics.

Speaking of which: there are also audio stories in Volume. This is especially nice for when you are not able to read. The stories in Volume are curated by an editor, which means that the offer changes continuously. If you use the app on a daily basis, you will build up a ‘high score’. Volume is completely free.

3. Gwent: Rogue Mage

Can’t get enough of The Witcher? Then we have good news for you, because developer CD Projekt Red has released a new game in the series. Gwent: Rogue Mage revolves – how could it be otherwise – about Gwent, the well-known card game from previous The Witcher games.

The gameplay consists of collecting the strongest possible cards (so-called ‘deck-building’) and dueling against enemies. With each opponent you defeat, you learn more about the story of protagonist Alzur. Speaking of which, the story of Gwent: Rogue Mage takes place several hundred years before the storyline of Geralt, the protagonist of previous The Witcher games.

4. Woice

Woice is a less intrusive version of WhatsApp and WoiceSlack

. What does that mean? The recipient of a message sent by you will not receive a notification, but will see the content the moment he or she opens Woice. The app itself therefore talks about ‘asynchronous communication’.

Another focal point of Woice is transcription. If you send someone an audio message, the service can automatically make a text version of it. This is useful, because that way the recipient does not necessarily have to listen to the audio message. Woice is currently completely free. At a later time you can also take out a subscription to unlock all functions.
