Several methods have already been invented for filtering carbon dioxide, but DAC typically requires serious land installations, i.e. a relatively large area and a lot of energy, since huge fans are used to clean the air containing carbon dioxide. In other words, renewable energy sources are also needed for environmentally friendly operation, and at the same time, creating a DAC facility requires long and complex bureaucratic processes and permits. The company’s experts calculate that an average freight train could remove about 6,000 tons of carbon dioxide from the air every year.
